This 2-credit course in Second Language Acquisition (SLA) offers the participants knowledge of how one acquires any language other than their mother tongue. It offers the nature of learner language, interlanguage, as well as social, discoursal, psycholinguistic, and linguistic aspects of the language being learned. In addition, it also discusses individual differences and instruction in second language acquisition. As a conclusion, the course expounds multiple perspectives of second language acquisition.
