This course provides an introduction to Indonesian economic policy at the undergraduate level. It provides students a course to integrate macroeconomic theories and government policies (fiscal, monetary), in the context of Indonesian economic development. The primary aim of this course is to examine socioeconomic factors that give influence to the determination of government policies, in which having relevancy to the current Indonesian business environment. The course will also rigorously discuss problems and future challenges of Indonesian economy.

A fundamental question to government policies is what determines the success and failure of one policy that give influence to Indonesian businesses. This course will study the links between businesses, external environment, macroeconomic environments, government policies. This relationship is characterized by complexity, uncertainty, and change.
